Ohio Loses to Wisconsin: Ohio 1 - Wisconsin 9

Ohio Loses to Indiana in the Semi-Finals.

Ohio and Indiana were tied going into the 7^th inning. Indiana pushed in one run to take the lead. Then they hit a 3 run homer and really put the pressure on Ohio. Ohio was not able to respond and lost the game by a score of 8-4. It was an amazing run and we are all sad to see it come to an end. But, what an achievement it was. Our team was in the top 16 in the country. Congratulations to the team and thanks too all the fans. It was a great season.

Indiana beats Iowa 10-3 and moves on to the World Series in Taylor Michigan representing the Central Region.

Indiana places 2nd in the United States Pool at the World Series. They will play the West for the U. S. Championship on Friday Night (8/21) at 8:00 PM.

Junior League World Series News and Information

1. Italy has won the EMEA Regional Tournament and will be moving on to the World Series. The team is from Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. The World Series will be held 8/16 to 8/22/2009 in Taylor, Michigan.

2. Aruba North Little League from Oranjestad, Aruba won the Latin America Regional Tournament and will be moving on to the World Series in Taylor, Michigan on 8/16/2009.

3. Saipan Little League from Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) won the Asia Pacific Regional Tournament and will be moving on to the World Series in Taylor, Michigan on 8/16/2009.

4. Juan A. Bibiloni Little League from Yabucoa, Puerto Rico won the Puerto Rico Regional Tournament and will be moving on to the World Series in Taylor, Michigan on 8/16/2009.

Junior League World Series Information

Ohio State Tournament

1. Maumee won the Ohio State Junior League Tournament on 7/30/2009 and will be moving on to the Central Region Tournament. The tournament will be August 8-13 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Ohio will play its first game against Michigan on 8/8 at 4:30 PM. The other teams in the tournament will be; Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, Kentucky, Indiana, Nebraska and a team from the host city.
